Leonardo posted a fifth consecutive victory since becoming coach of champions when they beat Inter Milan 3-2 at San Siro Cesena, Wednesday, and rose to fourth Italian league (Serie A).
Cristian Chivu goal gave birth to his team after a previous victory and Emanuele Giaccherini Erjon Bogdani equalized on a goal created by Samuel Eto'o and Diego Milito for the host.
Cesena end the game with 10 men after Giaccherini removed from the field 15 minutes before the game ended.
Inter are now six points behind city rivals team and league leaders AC Milan but still a game again.
After starting his job to perfection as Inter's coach, praised Leonardo Cesena neat appearance.
"We controlled the game well when positions 2-0 but Milito injured and we lose the opportunity," he said.
"This is a difficult game, Cesena play very good. They scored two goals and almost reverse numbers game," he said.
"In the second half we lost the opportunity and very little chance to counterattack," katatanya.
"We fought hard and this is a very important victory," he said.
